Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülistan YALÇIN serves as a faculty member and the Head of the Department of Special Education within the Faculty of Education at Aksaray University. Her academic scholarship focuses primarily on special education and the education of individuals with visual impairments.

In her capacity as Vice Coordinator of the Unit for Disadvantaged and Disabled Students, she contributes substantially to the strategic design and delivery of unit provisions—including accessible instruction, reasonable academic accommodations, comprehensive student support frameworks, consultative advisory services, and civic engagement initiatives. Additionally, she facilitates inter-institutional collaboration across pertinent academic and administrative units.

Leveraging her academic expertise and empirical insight in special education, she contributes to unit operations regarding the psychoeducational assessment of individual needs for disadvantaged students and students with disabilities, the facilitation of appropriate academic interventions, and the systematic enhancement of inclusive educational practices across the institution.

Areas of Specialization: Special education, education of the visually impaired, instruction of individuals with special needs, and family training/parent education.
