About Us

Aksaray University Disabled Students Unit was established in 2009 with the decision of Aksaray University Senate and was established to take necessary measures to facilitate the education of disabled students who study at Aksaray University and to carry out studies in this direction. It carries out its activities directly under the authority of the Rectorate.

Our Objectives

As Aksaray University Disabled Students Unit, we aim to provide equal access to the facilities and services of the students with disabilities and to support their development in the field they need.

For this purpose;

We work to determine the needs of the disabled students in various fields and the difficulties they face, meet the identified needs and eliminate the difficulties.

We support our students with special needs in the most appropriate way. We provide a learning environment equipped with supportive and good resources, helping to improve the self-awareness and independence of individuals as we remove restrictions on academic achievement and training.

We develop support services for faculty members about the physical, academic and social support needed by our disabled students.

It develops services to increase awareness and awareness of disability and to develop positive attitudes towards disabled individuals; We implement and evaluate their applications.

It is the student's decision to report or identify the obstacle / inability status to the Disabled Student Unit. Students identified by the Disabled Student Unit will be supported in line with their wishes.
