Aksaray Üniversitesinde Engelsiz Bahar Şenlikleri Coşkusu Yaşandı

As part of the "Accessible Spring Festival" organized by Aksaray University (ASÜ), individuals with special needs residing in the city and their families convened on the university campus for a dedicated event. The program, which brought together approximately 90 participants, was marked by vibrant and engaging moments. Coordinated under the auspices of the University Rectorate, the event was organized jointly by the Department of Special Education within the Faculty of Education and the Special Education Student Community.

Throughout the program, a wide range of social, cultural, and recreational activities were conducted to support the active participation of individuals with special needs in social life. Within the framework of the spring festivities, participants engaged in music, games, interactive workshops, and various recreational activities across the campus grounds. Bringing university students and individuals with special needs together, the event highlighted the core principles of inclusivity, social interaction, and awareness.

Families expressed their deep satisfaction with their children's engagement in social activities within a higher education environment, and the event fostered meaningful interpersonal connections. The initiative aimed to provide individuals with special needs the opportunity to experience campus life firsthand while promoting their active engagement in community life. Organized in alignment with Aksaray University’s commitment to the "accessible university" framework, the event contributed substantially to enhancing public awareness and reinforcing university-community collaboration.
